Summary

Universal Video Controller makes it easy to control video playback speed and volume on supported websites. It processes the information needed for these features locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit your browsing history, page content, or audio to external servers.

1. Information handled

2. How the information is used

The information described above is used only to control video playback speed and volume, apply sliders, numeric values, and presets, detect videos in iframes and open Shadow DOM trees, restore controls after navigation or a service worker restart, and provide optional local tab-audio boosting.

3. External transmission and sharing

Universal Video Controller does not send audio, page content, browsing history, URLs, settings, or preset values to developer-controlled servers, advertising networks, analytics services, or other third parties. We do not sell or share user data, and there is no feature that allows a person to view user data.

4. Storage and deletion

Per-tab settings are stored in Chrome session storage and are removed when Chrome or the extension discards the session data. Saved presets remain in Chrome's local extension storage until the user deletes them or removes the extension. The extension does not store page content, browsing history, or audio recordings.

5. Permissions

6. Remote code

The extension does not load or execute remote JavaScript. All extension logic is included in the published extension package.

7. User controls

You can turn the controller on or off from the extension popup, delete saved presets individually, and remove the extension at any time from Chrome's extension management page.

8. Support

For support, please use the support channel provided in the Chrome Web Store listing.

9. Policy changes

If the extension's data handling practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date will be revised.
