Universal Video Controller
Support
Control video playback speed and volume per tab, with optional local tab-audio boosting and saved presets.
Quick start
- Open the extension popup on a page with a video.
- Turn on the controller using the toggle in the top-right corner.
- Adjust Speed or Volume with the sliders, numeric inputs, or preset buttons.
- Save frequently used combinations to Preset Slot 1, 2, or 3.
Audio above 100%
Above 100%, the audio from the current tab is processed locally and amplified. This also affects notification sounds, advertisements, and other audio from the same tab. The default volume range is 0–200%; custom limits can be set up to 1000%.
Troubleshooting
- Close and reopen the extension popup.
- Open
chrome://extensions, reload the extension, and reload the target tab. - If audio boosting fails, return the volume to 100% and then select the desired value again.
- Chrome internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, and settings pages do not allow content scripts and cannot be controlled.
- When multiple videos are present, the extension automatically selects the primary video based on visibility, playback state, and size.
